- Ads only appear in the webmail interface. No ads appear if you check your mail through Thunderbird, Eudora, Outlook or Entourage. No ads are attached to any of your outgoing emails.
- Mail may be checked through any email program, and with Gmail Notifier for Windows, Mac, Linux, and Firefox.
- Gmail is increasing its capacity beginning October 2007. Gmail deletes trash and spam after 30 days.
- Google recommends using Google Groups or multiple addresses to send larger communications. You may also wish to use a service like Constant Contact.
- Email is not intended for huge attachments. Use one of these services to transfer very large files.
- Gmail lists are open and can be spammed. Use with caution.
- Messages from those on your contact list are considered to be not spam. You can also report messages as "spam" or "not spam".
- Google chat software is Windows-only, but the service is compatible with chat programs such as Pidgin and Adium for other platforms.
- CHCS can help manage transfer of accounts for clients who move to Gmail, and will continue to be available for general support.
- Clients should download all messages currently on CHCS servers to local email software.
- CHCS policy is being revised, and is subject to change.
- Setup fee will be charged if service is not continued after trial period.
- Setup fee waived until September 30, 2007.
